On Sunday (July 10, 2011), Bilal and I decided to hike up Lion's Head, another peak by Table Mountain. We met up with a friend of his, Meltem, and began our hike up. As with our first trip up Table Mountain, we could see the city below along the hike.
As we continued our hike, circling up around Lion's Head, we got nice views of Table Mountain and Clifton Beach as well.
Stopping for a rest break, we again left our mark on the trail. :p
Soon, the hike got more interesting, as we started to climb up ladders and over rocks.
We were nearing the top, and so took a few breaks for photos.
Soon we reached the peak and decided to sit around to enjoy the view.
I took some time to walk around and take some more photos.
Soon the sun was beginning to set and so we decided to head down before it got too dark.
I got one last photo and we began our climb down.
It had been a fun trip up Lion's Head, and it would have been nice to see the sunset there. Maybe one day...
